Why I Use Beeswax in My Intention Candles
Joy FarringtonShare
I chose beeswax because I wanted my intention candles to feel special before the flame was ever lit. It has a warm, natural color, a substantial feel, and a beautiful connection to careful craft. It also asks me to slow down and pay attention while pouring, which aligns with how I want Goddess Apothecary candles made.
Beeswax behaves differently from softer candle waxes. Fragrance performance, wick size, vessel width, and burn time all need to be tested together. That is why I test each combination rather than assuming a single wick-to-fragrance ratio will work for every candle. A gorgeous first burn means very little if the candle does not continue burning safely and evenly.
My candles are poured in small batches over a wooden wick. The wooden-wick sound, warm glow, and fragrance are part of the full experience. Still, beeswax is not a medical treatment or a substitute for clean indoor-air habits. I’m interested in honest benefits, not internet claims, and wearing a cute outfit.
What you receive is a thoughtfully tested, beautifully scented candle made to support an intentional moment in your home. And yes, she still has to smell amazing.
